• April 15,16, 2004: IEEE Wireless and Microwave Conference (WAMI) was held in Clearwater, FL, where Kemal Ozdemir and Ismail Guvenc have presented papers, and all the group members presented their posters.

  

• March 29,31, 2004: Anthony Webster and Sharath Reddy have succesfully defended their M.S. thesis.
• March 22-25, 2004: Tevfik Yucek, Ismail Guvenc, and Kemal Ozdemir have presented their papers in WCNC-2004 in Atlanta, GA. Huseyin Arslan has given a tutorial on "An overview of the recent trend toward adaptation of the new generations of wireless communication systems", in SoutheastCon 2004, Greensboro, NC.
• December 25, 2003: Ramy Tannious from Alexandria University, Egypt, has joined the WCSP research group as a Ph.D. student. Tevfik Yucek has succesfully defended his M.S. thesis, and started his Ph.D. study.
• December 1-5, 2003: Kemal Ozdemir of WCSP attended GLOBECOM-2003 to present his paper, and Dr. Huseyin Arslan attended the IEEE Communication Society meeting colocated with the Globecom conference.
• November 16-19, 2003: Ismail Guvenc of WCSP attended UWBST-2003 to present his paper titled "Performance Evaluation of UWB Systems in the Presence of Timing Jitter".
• October 30, 2003: Pages for funding opportunities and conference deadlines are constructed and will be updated periodically.
• October 23, 2003: Call for Papers for the 6th IEEE Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference, April 15-16, 2004, Clearwater, FL, is released (.ppt), where Dr. Huseyin Arslan will be acting as a technical co-chair.
• October 15-22, 2003: Dr. Huseyin Arslan of WCSP presented a tutorial titled "Adaptation Techniques and the Enabling Parameter Estimation Algorithms for the Evolution of Wireless Mobile Radio Systems" in 6th International Symposium on Wireless Personal Mulimedia Communications(WPMC'03) Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan, October 19-22 2003. Also, he has presented 2 papers titled "Effect of Power Amplifier Impairments in Designing OFDM based Wireless Communication Systems", and  "A Mutual Coupling Model for MIMO Systems" in IEEE Topical Conference on Wireless Communication Technology, Honolulu, HI, October 15-17, 2003.
• October 13-16, 2003: Ismail Guvenc of WCSP presented his paper titled "On the Modulation Options for UWB Systems" in Military Communications Conference (MILCOM), Boston, MA.
• October 6-9, 2003:  Dr. Huseyin Arslan  co-chaired 3 symposia in VTC2003-Fall Conference on the topics "Interference Cancellation for Wireless Mobile Systems", "Estimation and Tracking for Wireless Communication Systems" and "Adaptation of Wireless Communication Systems and Related Parameter Estimation". Sharath Reddy presented his paper titled "A low-complexity and efficient blind modulation detection algorithm for adaptive OFDM systems". Rest of the WCSP group (Kemal Ozdemir, Tevfik Yucek, Ismail Guvenc, Omer Dedeoglu, Oscar Gonzales) were part of the VTC organizing committee as program assistants.
• September 15, 2003: The book chapter by Dr. Huseyin Arslan titled "Adaptation Techniques and the Enabling Parameter Estimation Algorithms for Wireless Communication Systems"is accepted to appear in "Signal Processing Communications Handbook", CRC Press.
• August 10-13, 2003: Tevfik Yucek of WCSP presented his paper titled "ICI cancellation based channel estimation for OFDM systems in Radio and Wireless Conference (RAWCON), Boston, MA, August 2003.
• July 2003: Dr. Huseyin Arslan of WCSP presented a tutorial titled "Adaptation Techniques and the Enabling Parameter Estimation Algorithms for the Evolution of Wireless Mobile Radio Systems" in Wireless and Optical Communications (WOC), Banff, Alberta, Canada, July 14-16, 2003.
• April 2003: Annual WAMI forum attracted researchers and industry leaders from all over US (April 11-12). Ram Asokan from WCSP presented a session titled "Transmit Diversity in Wireless Communication", April 12, 2003. Key-note speaker Fred Martin's  presentation was on on "Wireless Sensor Networks".
